Our Story
Hi, I'm Mallika - the brains (and heart) behind Flakes and Flames. I started this company with my husband, Kevin, out of our shared love for scented candles and the beautiful ambience it always creates in our home. Be it a quiet date night in, movie marathons, getting lost in a good book, hosting guests, or even cooking - lighting a scented candle has become a ritual for us! Candles evoke a sense of warmth, just like watching a beautiful sunset with our loved one does. It wasn't until recently that we learned about how a strong smelling candle might not be the best candle for your health. Understanding the harmful ingredients used in conventional candles along with their side effects was eye-opening for us and we decided to hop on to the all-natural-candles bandwagon.
Our candles are made from 100% soy wax and boast superior burn times while emitting non-toxic fragrances free from phthalates and parabens. You can breathe easy knowing that our lead-free cotton wicks deliver a clean, eco-friendly burn, leaving behind nothing but the delightful scent of your choice.
